Need your input

Hello there, This is a survey for my UX design project , where I need to design an website for ordering custom printed T shirts. To begin the process I need to conduct interviews about the project, If you are willing to be a part of my UX design journey and interested to share your thoughts, Kindly will the form to share thoughts, Your input means a lot. And share with the people who are interested to share their thoughts. If you are available please fill the form. I guarantee it will be fun activity,  Link to form:    https://forms.gle/potVXeUByvUUeKph7

Starlink internet on Mars

Starlink Network on Mars

The SpaceX founder Elon Musk introduce this mission Starlink. The aim of this mission is to provide continues internet globally with low latency at speed. Currently this is in developing stage, the mission was planned to supply only on the Earth. But in a latest interview with TIME magazine, SpaceX's president and COO Gwynne Shotwell relieve the plan of Starlink broadband connectivity to the red planet.

“Once we take people to Mars, they’re going to need a capability to communicate,” Gwynne Shotwell said during a previously recorded interview with TIME. “In fact I think it will be even more critical to have a constellation like Starlink around Mars.”

The aim of Elon Musk is to set the humans on Mars and in fact he said that "I want to die on Mars," he said in a 2013. He was focused in his future missions to Mars. Now he launching many Starlink satellites to provide internet globally, this may be an experiment for Mars. Till now around 800 Starlink satellites were launched in orbit. Now they are providing a beta version across US and Canada for limited members.

How starlink works?

Now you are reading this blog through your mobile or PC which is connected to internet, this internet you are getting is through cable providers or satellite communication. But cables are much cheaper and faster than satellite communication then why Elon Musk plans satellite connection.

When you use the internet through satellite communication, it produce 0.5 second latency because these satellites are orbit around Earth at 22,000 to 35,000 km from the Earth surface and these are called as geostationary satellite

How Elon Musk plans?

To reduce the latency mentioned above, the satellites will place in low Earth orbit because at Geostationary orbit it is difficult to connect the signals from satellite because it moves to some other place and the connection would be lose.

To avoid this problem Elon Musk planed to place the satellites as in constellation at low Earth orbit, it results to place more satellites to cover the Earth globally, and it requires nearly 12,000 satellites

By constellation, if an satellite in your view moves an another satellite will cover you and you will have a connection throughout, and there will be no latency, this was not the first satellite constellation. The GPS you are using is by an constellation of satellites at low earth orbit.

The same method is going to establish on Mars but this not an easy matter. Because the network connection between two planets is not simple. If this achieved we can upload some pics from the red planet. The company SpaceX was formed for the purpose of building transportation to allow humans to move to another planet. Will it becomes true!

  1. There is one mistake :
The GPS you are using is by an constellation of satellites at Low Earth Orbits NOT Geostationary orbit...
