Why Chinese apps are banned ?
The IT ministry has banned 59 Chinese-owned applications, including TikTok, Shareit, UC Browser.The Ministry stated they were “prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of india, security of state and public order.

There have been raging concerns on aspects relating to data security and safeguarding the privacy of 130 crore Indians. 

1.TikTok - Dubsmash


Dubsmash is a Video sharing social media service application for iOS and Android. Using the application, users can choose an audio recording or soundbite from movies, shows, music, and internet trends and record a video of themselves dubbing over that piece of audio.

One of the biggest benefits of Dubsmash is the way it encourages users to interact with one another by sharing their video clips. For marketers, this presents an excellent opportunity to share their material more widely and establish a community among consumers.


2.Share it - Google files

Files is a file management app for file browsing, media consumption, storage clean-up and offline file transfer. It was released by Google .

Google Chrome is one of the best web browsers for both smartphones and desktops and hence a worthy alternative for these Chinese apps.

Google takes security and privacy seriously and continuously updates Chrome to protect users from harmful websites and malware.

ShareChat, is an Indian regional social media platform, developed by Mohalla Tech Private Limited, founded by Ankush Sachdeva, Bhanu Pratap Singh and Farid Ahsan. It was incorporated by Mohalla Tech Pvt Ltd on 8 January 2015. In 2019, ShareChat has over 60 million monthly active users .

So if you wish to enjoy regional content without compromising your privacy then you can give a shot at ShareChat. The app is based out of India and it offers content in 15 regional languages which is great. Further, the app has strict content policy so that inappropriate content remains at bay.


5.YouCam makeup - Snapseed

Snapseed is a photo-editing application produced by Nik Software, now owned by Google, for iOS and Android that enables users to enhance photos and apply digital filters.

There are no annoying advertisements, the editing process is smooth. Another advantage: Almost all filters can be fine-tuned themselves, you can change opacity or brightness directly in the same editing stage.
